Supper will be served by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary, and the American Legion Saturday, April 30, at the VFW Hall in Jefferson.
The three veterans groups will serve old-fashioned cream chicken over biscuits, mashed potatoes, salads, cakes, and homemade pies from 5 to 7 pm. Free will donations will be accepted. “Invite your friends and neighbors. Treat a veteran to supper,” a spokesperson said.
Proceeds will be divided among the three veteran groups, with most of the funds to benefit current operating expenses and future community projects. Persons who want more information can contact Don Ihnken at 515-386-4933.
